Hoje venho contar-vos a viagem que fiz em 2020, mas não sei por que é que demorei tanto tempo a escrevê-la. 😄
Em fevereiro desse ano decidi passar o meu aniversário na DisneyLand Paris - já sabem que sempre que faço anos tento sempre visitar um lugar diferente e conhecer novas culturas - e lá fui eu com a Maria, o meu namorado e a minha mãe.
Nessa altura já se sabia o que era o "Covid-19". Tenho algumas amigas que vivem na China e já estavam mal por isso, mas nunca achámos que teria o impacto que teve e portanto decidimos viajar na mesma sabendo eu que em Paris já havia um ou outro caso.
Chegámos a Paris e fomos inicialmente até ao IBIS Hotel que tínhamos reservado. Mas, quando marcámos estadia pareceu-nos estar bem perto do centro de Paris, mas afinal não, afinal estávamos a mais de meia hora de comboio e como o último comboio era às 22:00h, fomos sempre para o hotel cedo e nem vimos a Torre Eiffel a brilhar à noite.
No início nem me importei com isto por que o que eu queria mesmo visitar desde criança era a DisneyLand e Paris nunca me interessou, mas quando cheguei à "terra dos croissants" percebi que gostei mais de Paris do que da DisneyLand e vou-vos explicar o por quê mais à frente quando chegar ao dia em que fomos à Disney.
Mas então, no primeiro dia, após o check-in fomos em direção à Torre Eiffel. Afinal, Paris é linda! Aquela arquitetura, aqueles prédios charmosos...e o que mais me fascinou foram as esplanadas do café no qual as cadeiras eram de uma extrema elegância.
Tomar um café numa esplanada com vista para a Torre Eiffel, mesmo que esta esteja longe, é caro. Mas compensa. Mas também, mesmo sem vista, é caro à mesma.. Aliás, Paris é cara na minha opinião. É normal visto que os ordenados são mais altos do que em Portugal.
Não fizemos nenhum itinerário para visitar Paris. Fomos de sexta e voltávamos no domingo e o objetivo principal era só a Disney, portanto andámos só à deriva.
Passámos pelo Arco do Triunfo e depois fomos comer num McDonalds que tinha uma vista brutal e era mesmo giro. A seguir, continuámos a andar e parámos numa esplanada. Lembro-me que nesse final de dia estava muito frio.
No segundo dia, acordámos e apanhámos um uber até à DisneyLand Paris. Não havia transporte direto, ou se havia íamos chegar muito tarde.
Comprámos os bilhetes cá em Portugal e comprámos para os dois parques: para o DisneyLand e para o Walt Disney Studios. Acho que pagámos na altura 80,00€ pelos dois bilhetes cada um.
Ainda nem eram 08:00 da manhã e a fila já era enorme, ainda para mais era sábado. Começámos pelo Walt Disney Studios e como o nome indica "Studios", achei eu que ía ver uma espécie de estúdios da Disney. Eu sou a maior fã dos filmes da Disney e por isso estava a vibrar de entusiasmo até entrar lá dentro.
Entrámos e parecia mesmo um cenário de filme. Era lindo, brilhante e cheio de cores. Estava a gostar. Vimos um "hotel" que remetia a um filme antigo de terror da Disney e quisemos começar por aí. Eu queria ver como tinha sido feito o filme.
Por dentro, entrámos todos num elevador e de seguida pediram-nos para sentar e apertar o cinto. A funcionária disse qualquer coisa como "nunca mais voltam", mas em francês e eu não percebo nada da língua e achei algo estranho. De repente, pumba, o elevador cai tão rápido que senti e bem as unhas da minha mãe na minha cara e ela a gritar imenso. Depois, o elevador volta a subir e pumba, volta a descer. Resumindo e concluído: foi das piores sensações da nossa vida por que não gostamos deste tipo de diversão. Quando saímos dali até nos rimos, mas foi horrível para nós ahahah
A seguir, para as outras entradas deste mesmo parque, percebemos que era só diversões e nada de estúdios.
Um aparte: para cada diversão, ficámos imenso tempo na fila e lá dentro demora-se uns 2 ou 3 minutos. Sei que havia uma forma de se passar à frente na fila, mas era necessário outro tipo de bilhete.
No final da manhã seguimos para o parque principal da DisneyLand. Acho que entrámos em praticamente todas as diversões ou quase todas. Desde o carrossel, às "chávenas" da Alice no País das Maravilhas, as minhas preferidas foram a da história do Peter Pan e também gostei de uma diversão em que andámos de barco e parecia que estávamos num musical.
Almoçámos num restaurante dentro da Disney, mas achei muito caro. E engraçado que quem me atendeu foi uma portuguesa. Há imensas nacionalidades a trabalhar aqui, é muito giro.
No final do dia, uma hora antes do parque fechar, toda a gente juntou-se no meio do recinto, à frente do palácio mais conhecido do mundo e aconteceu um espetáculo de luzes e músicas lindas que me deixaram nostálgica à minha infância. Foi a minha parte preferida.
No terceiro e último dia, voltámos ao centro de Paris, já com malas e bagagens. Antes de partirmos decidimos experimentar várias refeições típicas francesas. Ao pé da Torre Eiffel há várias roulottes com ótima comida.
Concluindo, nesta viagem, o que me deixava mais entusiasmada era a DisneyLand, mas pelos vistos não me cativou muito. Achava que ia ver espetáculos das princesas e das histórias da Disney da minha altura como por exemplo a Cinderella, a Pequena-Sereia ou a Branca de Neve, mas não, eram só diversões e passámos mais tempo nas filas do que a desfrutar de cada diversão.
Na minha opinião, quem tem bebés ou crianças muito novas, devia esperar mais uns anos para as levar porque o tempo nas filas e o tipo de diversões que são, acho que não são os mais adequados para certas idades.
Não sei se é por já estar crescida ou não, mas amei Paris e gostava de lá voltar um dia para explorar e visitar certos monumentos e museus como o Museu do Louvre - que fiquei com muita pena de não ter visitado.

Today I come to tell you about the trip I took in 2020, but I don't know why it took me so long to write it. 😄
In February of that year I decided to spend my birthday at DisneyLand Paris - you already know that every birthday I always try to visit a different place and experience new cultures - and there I went with Maria, my boyfriend and my mum.
At that time it was already known what "Covid-19" was. I have some friends who live in China and they were already unhappy about it, but we never thought it would have the impact it had and so we decided to travel anyway knowing that in Paris there was already one or another case.
We arrived in Paris and initially went to the IBIS Hotel that we had booked. But when we booked it, it seemed to be very close to the centre of Paris, but in the end we were more than half an hour away by train and as the last train was at 22:00, we always went to the hotel early and we didn't even see the Eiffel Tower shining at night.
At first I didn't even mind this because what I really wanted to visit since I was a kid was DisneyLand and Paris never interested me, but when I got to the "land of croissants" I realized that I liked Paris more than DisneyLand and I'll explain why later when I get to the day we went to Disney.
But then, on the first day, after checking in we headed towards the Eiffel Tower. After all, Paris is beautiful! That architecture, those charming buildings...and what fascinated me most were the café terraces in which the chairs were extremely elegant.
Having a coffee on a terrace overlooking the Eiffel Tower, even if it is far away, is expensive. But it is worth it. But even without a view, it's still expensive. In fact, Paris is expensive in my opinion. It is normal since the salaries are higher than in Portugal.
We didn't do any itinerary to visit Paris. We went on Friday and came back on Sunday and the main goal was just Disney, so we just drifted around.
We passed by the Arc de Triomphe and then we went to eat at a McDonalds that had a great view and was really cute. Then we kept walking and stopped at a terrace. I remember that at the end of the day it was really cold.
The second day, we woke up and took an uber to DisneyLand Paris. There was no direct transportation, or if there was we would arrive very late.
We bought the tickets here in Portugal and bought them for both parks: DisneyLand and Walt Disney Studios. I think we paid 80,00 euros for the two tickets each.
It wasn't even 8:00 am and the line was already huge, especially on Saturday. We started at the Walt Disney Studios and as the name says "Studios", I thought I would see a kind of Disney studios. I am the biggest fan of Disney movies, so I was buzzing with excitement until I went inside.
We walked in and it really did look like a movie set. It was beautiful, bright and full of colour. I was enjoying it. We saw a "hotel" that was reminiscent of an old Disney horror movie and we wanted to start there. I wanted to see how the movie had been made.
Inside, we all got into a lift and then we were asked to sit down and fasten our seatbelts. The employee said something like "they're never coming back", but in French and I don't understand the language at all so I thought it was a bit strange. Suddenly, bam, the lift falls so fast I could feel my mother's nails on my face and she screaming a lot. Then the lift goes back up and bam, it goes back down. To sum up: it was one of the worst sensations of our lives because we don't like this kind of fun. When we got out of there we even laughed, but it was horrible for us ahahah
Next, to the other entrances of this same park, we realized that it was only amusements and no studios.
An aside: for each amusement, we stayed a long time in line and inside it takes about 2 or 3 minutes. I know there was a way to get ahead in the queue, but it required another type of ticket.
At the end of the morning we headed to the main park of DisneyLand. I think we got on pretty much every ride or almost every ride. From the carousel, to the Alice in Wonderland "cups", my favourites were the Peter Pan story and I also liked a ride where we rode a boat and it seemed like we were in a musical.
We had lunch at a restaurant inside Disney, but I found it too expensive. And funny that the person who served me was a Portuguese woman. There are lots of nationalities working here, it's very nice.
At the end of the day, an hour before the park closed, everyone gathered in the middle of the enclosure, in front of the most famous palace in the world and there was a light show and beautiful music that made me nostalgic to my childhood. It was my favourite part.
On the third and last day, we returned to the centre of Paris, already with bags and luggage. Before we left we decided to try several typical French meals. Near the Eiffel Tower there are several roulottes with great food.
In conclusion, on this trip, what I was most excited about was DisneyLand, but apparently it didn't captivate me much. I thought I was going to see shows of the princesses and Disney stories of my time such as Cinderella, the Little Mermaid or Snow White, but no, they were just entertainments and we spent more time queuing than enjoying each entertainment.
In my opinion, if you have babies or very young children, you should wait a few more years to take them because the time in the queues and the type of amusements are not the most appropriate for certain ages.
I don't know if it's because I'm grown up or not, but I loved Paris and I'd like to go back one day to explore and visit certain monuments and museums like the Louvre Museum - which I was very sorry not to have visited.
